1. Always Hold by the Edges

Learn how to hold coins properly by the edges, this avoids getting oils, salt, and dirt that can cause corrosion and discoloration.

2. Wearing Cotton Gloves

Some Collectors wear cotton gloves, to completely avoid oils, salts, and dirt from access to any of the coins surfaces, including the edges.

3. Work on Soft Surfaces

Collectors find it very helpful to use soft surfaces as a work place due to it helping prevent scratching, scuffing, dirt, debris, and overall other cosmetic damages that might be caused while working on harder surfaces.
